Green Rock wanted an ergonomic and professional way to have their vocal mic, reflexion filter, ipad, autocue screen and pop shield in their vocal booth. Their existing stand was only four years old but now had a broken boom clutch from the weight of the reflexion filter. It was being held together with gaffer tape and needed kettlebell weights on the tripod feet for balance.
In these photos you can see the end result; their new Latch Lake micKing 2200 Big Foot stand easily holds the weight and everything is positioned exactly where it's most useful. They can easily adjust the height of the whole setup when a vocalist arrives. They have an iPad above their autocue/video screen giving them a facetime link up to any of the six control rooms surrounding the booth.
We even gave them a long XtraBoom arm that sticks out the other side and doubles as a place to hang a coat or some headphones.
Get in touch if you want to attempt this - there's a fairly simple modification that needs to be made to the reflexion filter that allows it to reach around the microphone.
